We found the Villa Parmina absolutely excellent. We have stayed in a number of villas in Italy and this was definitely the best. It was well-equipped and in a perfect location. We were easily able to walk into Taormina or just use the little local shops to get bread, meat, etc. The pool was gorgeous and plenty of shade, especially with the natural shade from the palm tree. The villa was also very comfortable.
Irena, who came into clean each day, was wonderful. She was very friendly and one day when she spotted we were off to the beach she immediately went to fetch a beach umbrella for us. Some of our party could speak some Italian and so really enjoyed chatting with her.
It was a lovely thought to have the Sicilian pastries and Prosecco to welcome us on arrival (especially after our rather stressful journey – not at all down to Solo Sicily). Also, we really enjoyed discovering the welcome pack of goodies that was left in the kitchen for us and we had fun cooking with the various items. Daniel was very helpful when we first arrived and gave us a thorough tour of the villa so that we felt that we knew all about everything. He was also very responsive when we texted him about booking taxis, so we always felt well supported.
(Also, we didn’t speak to the person who looked after the pool but it was kept in great condition and they were very unobtrusive, so we were able to use the pool whenever we wanted – sometimes in previous villas the times have been restricted for cleaning).
It was really an amazing stay and a large part of this was down to Villa Parmina and the general welcome and support we received throughout our stay from all those people who work there. A huge thank you from us all.
