The Sicilian Swede is in Sicily! Yay ? After 17 hours of traveling I’ve finally made it to Taormina, Sicily! From Chicago –> Paris –> Rome –> Catania and a short drive…..I have arrived!! I am staying in a stunning villa in the town of Taormina – Villa Parmina
We are spending our first day hanging at the villa, swimming, catching up with family and enjoying the AMAZING views. The weather is absolutely perfect for November – mid 70’s without a cloud in the sky.
Walking into Villa Parmina is like stepping back into time. It’s decorated with Sicilian details, fabric, paintings and furniture. Each room is unique and covered with ornate decor and every room has a door to a patio, garden or balcony. I’m speechless!
The views from the villa are breathtaking with the Mediterranean Sea, Mount Etna and the city of Taormina surrounding us! You guys, this doesn’t even feel real!! I can’t even believe I am lucky enough to be in the region of my ancestors AND staying at a villa like this with the VIEWS like this is something I will never forget!!!
I feel like I’m floating on clouds or living a dream! I am so excited to spend a week here! I can’t wait to share all the details with you!! Follow along for the adventures and experiences of a once in a lifetime trip!!
